Charlie McGannon is a drunk who has no business teaching children. I used to hear lots of stories of Charlie being sent home because he was still drunk from the night before. As far as his ability as a teacher? He's supposed to be teaching English Literature. He doesn't. He teaches PSAT prep and nothing else. The administration seems fine with it, though. Here's a Charlie McGannon story: about twenty years ago a student dropped out halfway through his junior year, immediately passed his GED, and started Tulane. Charlie decided it would be fun to tell his students about a former student who dropped out and was eating out of dumpsters. Nice, huh? It was suggested to Charlie that this would be a very good way to get fired.
